Working experience in bariatric surgery: Since 1998 I work in the field of bariatric surgery, after supporting and training surgeons and nurses for new techniques I started in the Netherlands to work at the other side of medical care: PATIENT SIDE.

My working experience in patient-care is:

	Patient information in respect to surgical methods, creating confidence to patients, pre-op and after care, individual and also in-group sessions.
	Pre-op screening for surgery
	Medical information to patients individually in respect of type of surgery, suitable for surgery, pre-op guidance.
	After care and support groups




2001 – 2005	Dutch organization for screening to medical insurance companies, Patient information, pre-op and after care assistance and complication support to Dutch patients. Patients underwent surgery in the Netherlands and Belgium.
2005 – 2008	set up of Medical tourism organization Obesitycare to UK and to other countries in European Union to Belgium for gastric banding, vertical sleeves, RNY gastric bypass, VBG and gastric balloon. Set up and cooperation for after care clinics in UK and other countries.
2008	Laparo Obeso Centre dr. Shashank Shah as the bariatric and metabolic syndrome expert for India and other countries in Asia. Patient information to Indian patients in-group meetings in Ruby Hall Clinic – Pune and Poona Hospital – Pune.  Coordination and Guidance of medical tourism patients from Canada, Europe and U.S.A. to Laparo Obeso of dr. Shashank Shah during their stay in Pune.
